For this renovation project AS-AI was tasked with transforming a family home that had been designed for a family of six into a comfortable space for two while still giving the homeowners the flexibility to host large family gatherings. The large home should feel cozy at all times while maintaining a fresh and modern palette.

ASAI Solution
ASAI proposed converting five smaller rooms into one large, open living space at the centre of the home. A generous kitchen overlooks a dining area that can accommodate a varying number of guests, as well as relaxed family room. A second convenience stair was added off of the kitchen and below it, a wine collection is always readily accessible. Small windows overlooking the backyard were replaced by expansive glass doors that allow access to the new pool from almost every room on the ground floor. All of the bathrooms were given a cosmetic facelift with the renovation. This 30 year-old house has a fresh and modern feel while comfortably welcoming any number of guests.
