The owners of a beautiful vineyard nestled in the heart of Lincoln approached ASAI to design a winery that would house new production facilities as well as an event space overlooking its lush vines. The proposed layout separates the typical winery amenities such as tasting room and retail store, from an intimate banquet hall characterized by generous glazing that retracts to usher in fragrant breezes. The two asymmetrical halves of the building are connected by a wooden block doubling as a small art gallery. The modern, clean lines and rustic materials pay homage the surrounding agrarian culture.
